A Vancouver man will spend six years in prison for helping beat a gay man to death in Stanley Park in 2001.
Twenty-three-year-old Ryan Cran was convicted of manslaughter in December.
The judge says the gang attack was "cowardly and terrifying," adding Cran must pay for it with a long sentence.
Uhhh.....excuse me? 6 years? A long sentence? Or did you mean your "saying" that the gang attack was cowardly was using a long sentence? Cause you couldn't have meant that 6 years was a long sentence!

Actually, six years is a long time to a liberal. Just look at all that can happen in six years. Both major world wars were resolved within six years. To the computer industry, six years is three generations. Six year old cars have lost the majority of their value.
Six year old children are old enough to remove from state-sponsored indoctrina.... er, daycare and put into state-sponsored indoct... er, first grade.
Given the liberals' ability to screw everything up, this "hate crime" stuff might be a godsend to criminals everywhere. The new defense will be, "I didn't kill him by accident, I killed him because I thought he was gay". Boom.... 6 instead of 25.
Hey Coder, I think you have something there...you could also steal say, a $50,000 ring, claim the "gay" defence and not go to jail!
