Liberals don't doctor tapes...
Ottawa — The recordings initially released by Conservative MP Gurmant Grewal were altered, and it is unlikely that the changes in the tapes he made were caused by digital copying, as the Conservatives have stated, concludes a forensic audio expert employed by The Globe and Mail to examine the controversial recordings.
I don't think mr. Nonymous read the above links...
The Globe is saying in that article that the tapes are altered and trotted out Jack Mitchell, a U.S. forensic audio expert who owns Computer Audio Engineering.
From Computer Audio Engineering FAQ:
Q: Do you have to work from an original recording, or is a copy suitable?
A: It is preferable to work from the original recording. It is doubtful whether a copy will be given the credibility you might like if it is to be used as evidence in a court of law. Also, a copy has a loss of fidelity, and thus detail. The original should be used for analysis and processing when possible.
