It's The Stupid Economy...

I have a question:

How come the Liberals say we should vote for them regardless of their lying and scandal because the economy is so great and unemployment is at a 30 year low, when at the same time the US with their "idiot" (according to the Liberals) president is also enjoying good economy and low unemployment?

Could you imagine how good our economies would be without idiots running them?

Record low unemployment in the US?

Not according to the US:

Next time, try researching before making spurious claims.

OK howbout this:

U.S. Unemployment Holds at 5 Percent

and

Canadian jobless rate falls to 6.4 percent

My claims are totally spurious...

Your claim that the US is experiencing record low unemployment is indeed spurious.

Not to mention you apparently are unaware of the difference between how the US measures unemployment versus how Canada measures unemployment. The difference between the two countries is relatively small when both are measured by US methodologies.

Adam just proved that the US with the Idiot Bush is running the Economy at just about the same rate as the Martin. Thanks for clearing that up Adam.

Also, its funny to note that the last time unemployment was this low was 31 years ago, around the time that Trudeau mania hit. Do you think that the Liberal's were responsible for higher unemployment up till now when we finally get back to where we were 30 goddam years ago? Some Progress.

I corrected my post, I didn't mean to write "record".

And yes, perfesser, I am "apparently are unaware of the difference between how the US measures unemployment versus how Canada measures unemployment. The difference between the two countries is relatively small when both are measured by US methodologies."

You are missing the point. Both countries are enjoying low unemployment. Bush was just lucky, Martin was expertly managing the economy...

Your unemployment rate can only GO so low, Tom. Economists suspect that 3% is as low as the unemployment rate can possibly get. The point is, however, that in 1993, Canada's unemployment rate peaked at 11.4% and now it's down at 6.4%. That's a 'good thing'.

Or they're both doing a good job, or they're both lucky. Not sure where all this Bush hating is coming from.

The Liberals hate Bush, think he's an idiot, call Americans "bastards".
Don't you see the hypocrisy of Martin using the economy as the main reason everyone should keep votin Liberal when the idiot bastards are enjoying the same economy?

Carolyn Parrish calls Americans 'bastards'. Regular people don't. Regular people just care whether or not they have a job to go to the next day; and that doesn't seem to be and probably will never be affected by whomever is in charge of the country, Liberal or Conservative. (NDP possibly might take jobs away from people though, so take that as you will)

I think regular people are smarter than that. We don't just wan't a job to go to the next day, when all you work for gets sucked away because of government stupidity, mismanagement, and corruption.
Slaves always have a job to go to the next day...

What a joke it is to see all this "Americans are bastards" and the Liberals tied to not liking Americans. What a bunch of B.S. Anything to try to sell the conservative agenda! I have more American friends than I can count. Just because some people do not like certian policies of the American government by no means does it have anything to do with Americans in general as all you neocons like to portray. ONE liberal of the past made a comment, ONE. We who believe in the liberal freedoms, the charter of rights, equality, etc, have no disputes with typical Americans. When it comes to Iraq, or tortures, then that is policies of the Government we may disagree with, and we don't go calling ridiculous names...we leave that to you guys!! Oh, do we get called about the Presidents rating?? NOOO!! lol.

You mean one per day. Here's today...

please don't judge Canadian politics to American Politics. Just because Americans voted in a Conservative doesn't mean we have to vote in a Liberal. Base you decision on what people say and look at past records. Who will follow the rules and who is speaking out of their ass. Don't automaticly precieve notions and don't let one issue control your decision. Hitler made the people focus on the economy which is what he was good at and he got into power. If you only focus on one issue your no better then the people that voted for the Nazi party in 1936
