The Leaker of the 1997 Harper speech
Is none other than Alex Munter who is a close friend of Brian Guest, one of Prime Minister Paul Martin's closest advisers!
Alex Munter is a former Ottawa city councillor and well-known gay rights activist who may be running for Mayor of Ottawa. The Canadian Press learned that Munter was in Vancouver with the Liberal team, working with Martin on debate preparations.
Any of these Munter quotes sound familiar?
"I am not a card-carrying member of any political party.The Liberal party was not a factor in my letting CP know about this story. I wasn't calling on behalf of the Liberal party, I was calling on my own and it was up to CP whether it ran the story or not.''
Asked who found the speech for him? "He is a Liberal.''
In its simplest terms, the Liberals used a third party to put a buffer between them and a story that was unflattering to the Conservative leader.

Everyone who has heard of Mr. Harper's 1997 leaked speech needs to read this column by none other than former Liberal Sheila Copps. Quite enlightening...Won't this make Mr. Martin go into hiding? This along with Paul Cellucci's (former US Ambassador to Canada) published book.

Now doesn't this seem hypoGritical? Or is it simply arrogant, and Mr. Martin is letting his MP's know that they really don't count...In today's National Post, Mr. Martin now says: "Liberal candidates are entitled to run in this election even if they want to deny Charter rights to gays and lesbians seeking same-sex marriage." "The issue is not 'What does an individual MP say?' An individual MP is entitled to his or her vision."

The Ottawa city hall is a training ground for the Liberals!
The current Mayor Bob Chiarelli is a devout liberal who will run federally at some point. Former mayor Jim Watson is a provincial liberal, Diane Deans tried and failed to get nominated as liberal.
And now Alex Munter (former NDPer) is being groomed by the Liberals to replace their boy Bob Chiarelli and be their man in Ottawa.

Help us here in Ottawa. Other than CFRA and Mr. Lowell Green, Ottawa is drowning with partisan stooges , either directly connected to the provincial and federal Liberal Party, or sucking up to be part of the Liberal Gravy train.
Alex Munter who has an aspiration and being groomed by the feds and provincial Liberal political masters to be MAYOR to succeed the other Liberal Chiarelli. He was frequently at odds with former Mayor Des Adam, whom he once controversially compared to Josef Stalin. His most notable achievement to the Kanata City council was pushing through an initiative to install condom dispensers in some municipal buildings. Munter is currently the co-ordinator for Canadians for Equal Marriage, a group that is campaigning to legalize and defend same-sex marriage in Canada.
A reason for him to attack Stephen Harper comes clear in a quotation from a post by ANGRY in the Great White North dated June 17, 2005 "Knock me over with a feather -- they're not blaming Stephen Harper!

Since the PM whipped the cabinet and other Liberals in supporting Gay Marriage in the house of commons, this is normally "payback" to past favors rendered ...
