London, England- a plot was foiled to detonate an osmium tetroxide and ammonium nitrate bomb inside a building in that country.
An Ottawa man, Mohammad Momin Khawaja, is accused under the Anti-Terrorism Act of participating in this activity. Khawaja is the first Canadian to be charged under Canada's anti-terrorism law.
Of course, according to Muslim groups, Khawaja's arrest was just anti-Muslim racism and discrimination.
Is this connected at all to yesterday's attack? Who knows. But it does show an example of why Canada may be safe from attack...
