Liberals Just Dont Get It!

Michale Ignatieff says the PM is engaging in "megaphone diplomacy with one of the greatest civilizations on earth, a superpower & should diplomatically raise concerns in a room with the Chinese president."

PM Harper says Canadians don't want us "to sell out our values, our beliefs in democracy, freedom & human rights for the almighty dollar"

Garth Turner's Imagine

Imagine there's no Party's
It's easy if you try
No Whip's to hound us
Above us only a bigger economic pie
Imagine all the politician's
Fighting to have their say...

Imagine there's no Party's
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to vote for anymore
And no Senate too
Imagine all the politicians
Living to disagree...

You may say I drive a Beamer
But I'm not the only one
I know everybody will join me
Because I'm the Chosen One

Imagine no Governor General
I wonder if you can
Nothing would ever be decreed
We would not agree to a man
Imagine all the people
Swearing at us as we twirled...

You may say I own a Beamer
But I'm not the only one
I know everybody will join me
Because I'm the Chosen One

Tories reach out to Greens

CTV News is saying that it has learned that Environment Minister Rona Ambrose will announce David Chernushenko, the deputy leader of the Green Party, is to be named to the National Roundtable on Environment and the Economy, a blue-chip panel that advises the federal government on environmental policy.

By reaching across party lines, the Conservatives are showing that they are seeking out differrent viewpoints and advice on air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

'Black Wednesday'

Ok, is it just me or has the MSM just jumped the shark? I mean comparing the loses on the TSX yesterday, which by the end of the day were less than 3% of total value, to something like 'Black Monday' is just absurd. I mean what day was it when the TSX lost this amount in a single day two and half years ago? There was some market fallout, but as you can see by the graph below, there was only a small percentage difference by the end of the day from the Income Trust announcement and a whole lot of general market decline for the Stock Exchanges in the Americas.

As you can clearly see, after the large move at the opening, the trends follow very closely with the NASDAQ. The Dow and S&P were also following similar trends although not at the same level of % decline. I find it funny how socialist rags like the Toronto 'Red' Star and Grope and Flail are now defenders of Corporate Canada and the Rich Capitalist Investor. Not that I think you need to be rich to invest, but that how the MSM has portrayed things in the past when governments have made announcements favoring investors.

Is it any wonder that the Toronto Star and other MSM conglomerate are losing money and readership at a steady decline?
